The Why

Since the Trafford Centre opened in September 1998 the centre has been host to many events. Giving shoppers a place to go to for an experience, not just for the stores. To celebrate their 25th anniversary and reflect on the history of the iconic centre they wanted to put on their most ambitious event yet. They wanted something unforgettable.  

The What

We were approached to produce the show for the event, helping to tell the story of the past 25 years of not just the Trafford Centre but also fashion and popular culture. Our creative team developed a look book concept and alongside a narrative, used this to tell the story of the past 25 years. We then went on to make content to be used throughout the show. Linking it with dance performances and scripted host sections to seamlessly tell a story of different decades. With 4 unique look and feels that reflected the different decades the visuals were linked with a lighting show that tied everything together.

The Result

The impact of the event was substantial, with a remarkable 6.7% year-on-year increase in footfall and a notable 8% boost in sales during Q3.

Retailers such as River Island and Levi’s experienced positive sales growth, with River Island seeing a 28% increase in sales over the event weekend compared to the previous week, including a 44% surge in ladies ‘wear sales. Similarly, Levi’s saw a 39% spike in sales during the event.
